New Year, New Skin Care #RefreshedRoutine

This post is sponsored by Mirum, but opinions expressed are my own.

In this new year, one of my resolutions is to feel more confident in myself. Less caking on makeup, and more enhancing my natural beauty. Less contouring, less highlighting, less shaping and less fixing because less is MORE! I remember in 2017 removing my makeup at the end of the night and not being satisfied with what I saw in the mirror because it was a face I wasn’t used to seeing. It was a face with flaws and imperfections that was no longer hidden beneath layers of makeup. So I challenge you to go light on the makeup and fall in love with who you are in 2018!

With lighter makeup (or no makeup at all) I need to ensure that my skin care regimen matches my new outlook on makeup. That means, I need to make sure that my skin care routine has me covered so that I don’t have to keep covering my face with makeup after, you get my drift? Here’s what I’ve been using lately for softer and more radiant skin. I love easy skin care solutions, especially when you can get them at any local CVS store! Convenient, effective and the best way to save your coins!

Let me introduce you to my Step One – Simple Micellar Water!  I remember I used micellar water on the plane to and from London to help remove makeup and keep my skin refreshed without having to use the lavatory in the sky. It’s convenient in a sense that you don’t need to follow up with rinsing with water! Just pour some Simple Micellar Water onto a cotton round and swipe your face to begin to remove the makeup. It’s great for all skin types (even sensitive skin like mine) and gets rid of makeup, dirt, impurities and any oil while also unclogging pores. My skin also gets an instant boost of hydration by 90%! I love this stuff!

Okay, let’s move on to Step Number Two – Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser… a new favorite of mine! I fell in love with this jar of magic around Halloween when I tried it for the first time to remove my mermaid makeup. I still cannot believe how powerful yet gentle this stuff is on my skin. Unlike ordinary cleansers, the Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser is actually 50% moisturizer – where on earth are you going to find anything else like this?! I love using this right after the Simple Micellar Water because it deep cleans and removes even stubborn waterproof mascara while still infusing my skin with the vital moisture that it needs. So many of you have raved about this Cold Cream Cleanser and I’m so glad that I finally caught on to it because it really is AMAZING!

Now on to Step Three – St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub… oh I’ve been waiting way too long to brag about this product! This scrub is my ultimate favorite scrub that I have ever tried. Let me give you a brief history of my life with this scrub. I first began using it to shave my legs back when I was 18 and have NEVER found anything else that has left my legs soft and glowing. I then began using it on the rest of my body, especially in the winter and again… it gave me a Jenny from the Block glow. It was up until recently that I thought to myself, “Self… if you love it on the rest of your skin, why not use it on your face?” and I questioned myself back and said, “but the skin on my face is sensitive”… so I stared myself in the mirror and whispered diligently, “DO ITTT!!”

I haven’t looked back. The St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub deeply exfoliates and cleanses for glowing skin. I truly feel like I’m getting a spa like experience right in the comfort of my own home. It’s made with 100% natural exfoliates (corn kernel meal and walnut shell powder) and leaves my skin baby soft. I’m almost mad at myself for taking this long to try it on my face!

Alright, I’m slightly obsessed with this new #RefreshedRoutine and I want you to get as excited about these products as I am so I’ve got PROMOTIONS FOR YOU!!! As I mentioned above, they’ve got a really great offer at CVS that I don’t want you to miss! From now until January 6th, there’s buy 1, get 1 50% off on all POND’S, St. Ives, Simples and Noxzema skin care products. Noxzema is also a great affordable brand that’s dermatologist tested and reaches deep into pores to remove dirt and oil! Another offer to get your hands on these products faster is that you get $5 ExtraBucks when you spend $15 on participating POND’s, St. Ives, Noxzema and Simple skin care products.

And when you’re in your local CVS snagging these awesome skin care products, make sure you pick up one of the CVS Reusable Bags. They are durable, collapsible and made of cotton. I’ve had mine since Halloween and use it constantly. It’s a great way to keep things eco-friendly in 2018 while holding all of my purchases and hauling them through shopping and transporting my stuff home!

So what do you say? Let’s live 2018 refreshed and confident! Let me know in a comment below if you use any of these products! Which is your favorite? Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a safe and happy new year!
